These terms are an agreement between you and WorkHush (“WorkHush”, “we”). By using WorkHush you agree to them, to the community guidelines and to the privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
The short version
- Use WorkHush lawfully and for personal, non-commercial purposes. Quoting and linking for news reporting is fine.
- You own what you post, and you are responsible for it.
- Posts are opinions and reports from anonymous people, not verified facts or professional advice.
- Posts can’t be edited or deleted after the undo window closes (15 seconds, up to 2 minutes if you tap More time).
- We can remove content or block access that breaks these terms.
1Who can use WorkHush
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement where you live. You may use WorkHush only for lawful, personal purposes.
2No accounts
WorkHush doesn’t offer accounts. Names you choose apply to a single post and aren’t reserved for you. Each name can be used only once in a discussion, so you can’t reuse yours for a second reply there.
3Your content
3.1Ownership
You keep ownership of what you post.
3.2License to us
By posting, you give WorkHush a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, copy, format, translate, summarize and distribute your content as part of running and promoting the service. This license continues after you stop using the site.
3.3Your responsibility
You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it. Don’t share confidential company information you are legally bound to protect, trade secrets, or material non-public information about a public company.
3.4No edits or deletion
Because we don’t track who wrote a post, you can undo a post only while its undo window is open: 15 seconds, up to 2 minutes if you tap More time. After that it can’t be edited or deleted by you.
4Content rules
Don’t post or do any of the following:
- Anything illegal, or content that encourages illegal acts.
- Threats, or content that encourages violence or harm against people or property.
- Harassment or bullying of a specific person, or encouraging others to do it.
- Accusing a named private person, such as a coworker or manager who isn’t a public figure, of misconduct, a crime or dishonesty.
- Personal information such as home addresses, phone numbers, personal emails, ID numbers or private photos.
- Sexual or pornographic content.
- Impersonating a person, a company or a role such as HR in a way that misleads.
- Spam, ads, recruiting pitches or self-promotion.
- Asking for votes, or manipulating votes or views.
- Attacking, overloading or interfering with the site.
- Switching networks or devices to get around a block.
5How enforcement works
We don’t review posts before they appear. Automated checks block or hide content that breaks the rules above, and reports send a post back through those checks. Reports the checks can’t judge go to a moderator once enough people make them, and moderators can remove content that breaks these terms. Removed posts show the reason. We may remove content or limit access at any time, with or without notice, and we aren’t obliged to monitor the site.
6Discussions are not facts
Posts are written by anonymous people and are not verified. Helpful scores show how useful readers found a post, not whether it’s true. Nothing on WorkHush is legal, financial, tax or employment advice, and we don’t endorse any user’s content. Decisions you make based on WorkHush are your own.
7Source-backed updates and company profiles
We write updates and profiles from public sources and list them. We try to be accurate but can’t guarantee it. Use “Report a problem” on the update, or the contact form.
8Advertising and sponsored content
WorkHush may show advertising, sponsored listings or sponsored resources in the future. Sponsored items will be labeled. Advertisers and sponsors have no say over what is posted or removed, and paying WorkHush never affects moderation. See the privacy policy for how advertising would affect your information.
9Links to other sites
Posts and updates may link to other websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or practices.
10WorkHush’s own content
The WorkHush name, logo, design, software, and our own text and data are owned by us and protected by law. You may share links and short quotes, but may not copy the site, scrape it at scale or use our brand without permission. Company names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to identify each community.
11Copyright complaints
If you believe content infringes your copyright, email hello@workhush.com with: your signature, the work you claim is infringed, the content and its link, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act. We may remove the content and will act on repeat infringement.
12Disclaimers
WorkHush is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free, to the fullest extent the law allows.
13Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, WorkHush and anyone who runs or moderates it aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for user content, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100.
14Indemnity
You agree to defend and compensate WorkHush for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your content, your use of the site or your breaking these terms.
15Disputes
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us to try to resolve it informally.
16Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top and post a notice for significant changes. Using WorkHush after changes take effect means you accept them.
17General
If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right isn’t a waiver of it. These terms, the guidelines and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about WorkHush.
